Dont know how to format a 2nd hard drive

Hello,

To make a long story short, my web guy is no longer available for me to contact so I have no tech support with the issue im having. Cpanel tells me that my current drive is full and that's why im having this issue. They told me to add another drice and to set it up as /home2 and format it as ext3. This is another language to me. Im in Corona,souther Cali and will appriciate if anyone can offer me support and I will glady pay for their service. Maybe someone can give me a contact of someone that can help me. Thank you

Well, the first thing that would need to happen is to have another drive physically installed on the system, assuming you have a dedicated server. If that's the case, then you'll need to talk to the system hosts to have that done.

Most hosts/datacenters have some type of program to upgrade.

If you're using a colocation service, where you own the server but rent space/bandwidth, then you'll need to find a tech guy to do the upgrade for you.

In either case, once that's done it's a fairly simple and straightforward process within WHM to format the drive and configure it for use.

If you're using a VPS... that's like a dedicated system, and again you'll need to contact the host.

We run our site form our office, the computer with linux is here in the office with me, but I have no idea how to use it. If anyone can give me a contact of a tech local to me i would appreciate it. Thanks
