I'm trying to configure Exim to not include the IP of the sender in headers after mail has been sent. I'm pretty sure this is possible because I've used SMTP servers before that did have this configuration.

I'm talking about the IP of the sender in the header that is shown upon recieval. To me, it's a security risk and privacy issue for our commercial, social, and/or political correspondence. No one should have my home dsl IP, especially for the type of support we are providing by email.

    Example:

    Received: from [xxx.xxx.xx.xxx] (helo=COMPUTERNAME)
by smtp.server.here with esmtpa (Exim 4.50)
    id 1DTzqI-0006Qp-9o
    for recipient@email.com; Fri, 06 May 2005 03:13:58 -0700

When recieved, normally my DSL home IP is there in the recieved from [ ]. Is there not a way to configure that to not include that IP or possibly just show the IP of the SMTP server that sent the mail? If so, how? :) Having a hard time finding an answer.

    Thanks.
