    hello

we have 6 Opteron X86_64 CPU servers

we need Cpanel, and we need to install an OS that support X86_64 CPU.

we are thinking to use RHEL, but its to expensive, dose Cpanel Support the X86_64 version of FreeBSD ?

Remal; x86_64 Linux/FreeBSD is supported. I'd highly suggest FreeBSD5.3 if you're going the BSD route since it's the latest/greatest x86_64 BSD on the supported list.

I would say setup one of the servers with FreeBSD 5.3 and put cPanel on it.

Remember to use the EDGE or RELEASE trees and NOT stable on 64bit.

we currenly runing Fedora Core2 X86-64

we have many proplems with Cpanel.

for example.. PHP with GD will not compile. coz the /scripts/easyapache trys to look for libs (example: libpng libjpeg libXmp) in wrong directory, it dose not take care of the X86-64 OS dirs..

is any body runing any 64 Bit OS here?

    thanks
