Drowning in spam! .... how to change SMTP port FROM 25 ?

Hi All,

I am currently drowning in spam - at the moment my server has 30,000 messages in the queue, and growing - I cannot simply dump all the messages as there are a good number of valid messsages in there ... my main focus right now is to clear down the 30k messages ... so I thought a good plan would be change the SMTP port from 25 to something else - this would have teh effect of stopping new messages coming in and allowing my server to cope and clear out the queue ... however, despite googling for the past few hours, I cannot find how to change the EXIM default SMTP port!? ... I am not looking to run a copy on another port (server configuration | service manger | exim on another port) ... I want to stop the thing listening on 25 and send it selsewhere for a few hours.

ideas anyone?

You could run a copy on another port and block port 25 with a firewall - Have you got APF installed?

Thanks for that - I got the order to delete the queue to get the machine up and running so while the problem is fixed, it was not solved (not a preferred option!)
