Duplicate email data after Ensim/Parallels Pro migration?

Hi,

I'm seeing what appears to be a significant growth in disk space usage after migrating to cPanel.

From what I can tell the culprit is seemingly duplicated email data.

The data in /home/<account>/subusers/<email-account>/mail appears to be nearly the same as the data in
/home/<account>/mail/<domain>/<email-account>/

If possible I'd like to delete the data in /home/<account>/subusers/<email-account>/mail as the timestamps on the content of this folder looks like it hasn't changed since the initial migration.

Anyone know if this is the result of something going amiss during the migration or a post-migration step overlooked?

Thanks!

I've noticed that too before - you can delete the mail accounts in subusers though as they are redundant after the migration.

It would be nice if cPanel can address this though as it has caused a number of our clients to go over their disk quota on migration due to their mailboxes being duplicated.

Hello,

Would a server having this happen be able to open up a ticket to migrations for us to check by doing a transfer of one of the accounts? I tried to test this but I'm uncertain if these duplicate email accounts are on the existing domain or a subdomain based on the subusers path noted initially. If the actual path for one of these could also be provided, that would be helpful.

Thanks!

Hello again,

Our developer was able to confirm this issue and a new case was opened about it (case 53293). A patch has been submitted for review.

Thanks to those who reported this occurring so we could get it straightened out.

Well if you're looking for things... :)

One of our migrated domains ended up with a user's email not showing up where we thought it should be. In this particular instance the account name matched that user's username. e.g. domain was "example1.com", email account was "[email protected]" and the migrated domain was created with an account name of "example1".

We just moved the folders and all was well.

Might have been a coincidence but I thought I'd mention it.
