I've been getting reports about e-mail being rejected by Exim, and it seems to be on reverse DNS lookup. The problem is intermittent. Has anyone else had problems recently?

no, it's not depend from rdns. it's depend from your network configuration, remote domain accessibility and from settings of your exim.

    1) ping remote domain for sure that it accessible from your server
    2) check your /etc/localdomains for this domain. if it found - remove it and restart exim
    3) if both above good (you be able ping and you not found domain in localdomains), try send email to this address from another server.

sometimes this message just indicate that remote mailbox is full.

You may see this error when you have max emails per hour limit in WHM. When someone reach the limit his emails are being discarded with unroutable domain errors or with the max emails per hour error.
