    Hi,

I have tried numerous times get a cpanel account to use it's own version of php.ini but have failed. I'm currently using the CGI handler and Php7 as server default php.

I changed a cpanel account to Php 5.6 as default and followed some steps online as seen here:
Custom php.ini file with FastCGI - InMotion Hosting

Loaded up the php info and it shows
    Code:
    Configuration File (php.ini) Path /opt/cpanel/ea-php56/root/etc
    Loaded Configuration File /home/*tld*/public_html/php.ini

But the options made in the php.ini are ignored. The only change that is accepted is when I make changes to the php.ini in WHM

I just want to enable allow_url_fopen and have it function on a single cpanel account and not server wide.

The information provided here isn't to clear

    Hi,

This PHPRC patch does nothing when you're running PHP with the CGI handler. This patch only changes behaviors with suPHP.

For using CGI, you'll need to use a CGI wrapper to get this working properly. You'd need to setup something like this, but adjusting for EA4:

Individual php.ini files for PHP FCGI and PHP CGI
