Each night /scripts/upcp runs twice. Why?

Beginning a few days ago, every night I get two email cron reports for the /scripts/upcp script.

They are dated at the same time. The first one to arrive has all the usual content, and then at the end has an error message that says Error, I've been logged out because a newer process was started.

The second email report to arrive has all the usual content (identical) but has no error message at the end.

A server check of crontable -l to list the crontable shows only the one entry to run the upcp script, as it always has been. I have done no work on the crontable, and no user has done any work on any crontable.

Anybody know why this is happening. It probablly does no harm, but it's needless bandwidth for myself and cpanel. Anybody know how to get the job to return to running only once each night?
