Well, seems I have similar problems. Any useful suggestions?

Hi vlim,

Please contact Support, or re-submit this question in the cPanel/WHM support forums. This does not appear to be an EasyApache issue.

Thanks

For completeness sake:

My issue was caused by the name of the perl directory. It was named 'perl5' instead of 'perl', which caused EasyApache to have issues with the recompilation. After renaming it back to 'perl' and a recompile, things went back to normal.

I had similar issue, when I try to install 'Digest::SHA1' and 'Crypt::PasswdMD5' I get this error

Code:
Undefined subroutine &Scalar::Util::readonly called at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/IO/Uncompress/Base.pm line 1104.
Perl Expect failed with non-zero exit status: 65280

All available perl module install methods have failed
It was fixed with:

Code:
/scripts/autorepair scalarutil

Would you mind sharing the solution provided to you? Also, please ensure you open new threads for issues not related to the original problem.

Thank you.

Would also like to know the solution to this.
Could you elaborate on the specific error message you received? Is it related to the original post on this thread, and have you tried the other solutions listed here?

Thank you.

Was getting the same error when trying to install Crypt::PasswdMD5 using:

Code:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/cpanm -n Digest::SHA1 Crypt::PasswdMD5
resulted in:

Code:
Missing mandatory field, 'version' (version) [Validation: 1.0]
 at /loader/0x192d0430/App/cpanminus/script.pm line 2475
Perl Expect failed with non-zero exit status: 2304
I'm thinking this had something to do with the recent CentOS 6.5 update with perl. I know perl was in the yum exclude list and it had to be removed in order for the CentOS 6.5 update to complete.

At any rate, I fixed this particular issue with:

Code:
/usr/bin/perl -MCPAN -e 'install Crypt::PasswdMD5'
You have to use the full path, /usr/bin/perl.

Apparently there is now all sorts of different versions of perl floating every where on the server.

This was on a cPanel 11.36.2.9 server.

Hello,

You can also fix this by typing:

Code:
# /scripts/perlinstaller Crypt::PasswdMD5
That does the same thing as the command above.
Since you're running 11.36, you probably should review the following:
