    Hi
It seems EasyApache has failed for me
I ran it and selected option 6, installed a few mods and some php suexec etc.
Completed with no errors taht I could see although it scrolled so fast I probably wouldn't have spotted any that did happen
Anyway Apache restarted and I get an error. Now I remeber reading a thread about this so I started it manually.
    root@koopa [/]# service httpd start
Syntax error on line 213 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libdav.so into server: /usr/local/apache/libexec/libdav.so: undefined symbol: XML_SetElementHandler
/etc/init.d/httpd start: httpd could not be started
    root@koopa [/]#
Now I reboot the system and Apache doesn't start
    root@koopa [/]# service httpd start
Syntax error on line 213 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libdav.so into server: /usr/local/apache/libexec/libdav.so: undefined symbol: XML_SetElementHandler
/etc/init.d/httpd start: httpd could not be started
    root@koopa [/]#
Now I think 'typical' and type /scripts/easyapache
    I get this
    root@koopa [/]# /scripts/easyapache
    --22:18:14-- http://layer1.cpanel.net/buildapache.sea
    => `buildapache.sea'
Resolving layer1.cpanel.net... failed: Host not found.
buildapache.sea: buildapache.sea: No such file or directory
    Waiting for httpd to restart..............finished.

May 6 13:24:09 plain httpd: httpd shutdown failed
May 6 13:32:51 plain httpd: httpd shutdown failed
httpd has failed, please contact the sysadmin.
    root@koopa [/]#
    Anyone have any suggestions?

Edit httpd.conf and comment all the entries that has got mod_dav.
    restart httpd

Try ./easyapache again and this time don't select the dav module. Select only the modules that u know and let the rest be as it it.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks
    Apache has now started
    /scripts/easyapache still fails though
Is it important that I recompile Apache without the dav mods? Since I've commented them out they aren't started anyway, no?

edit your httpd.conf file and comment out the DAV modules used in httpd.conf.
