    Hi ya,

I need to rebuild Apache and PHP from WHM using Easyapache. I've done this lots of times before and quite confident with doing it. But I've only done it on a testing server before. Now the server is live and needs to be up and running.

My question is; can I perform an Easyapache rebuild with the live server running? Would the current Apache be stopped until the new one is built? Stopping my website from running of course, which I hope to avoid.

Or would it be built in the background and then just a quick restart of Apache for a few seconds while the new one starts up? So the site is down only very briefly, which I could live with.

    Hope someone knows the answer?

    Andy

Hello, the build can be done live, and does run in the background. Sites are still accessible while the build is being done. Once the build is done, httpd will be restarted for the new settings to take effect.
