easyapache core dumps?

    I was using a 1 GHz Duron with 64 KBs cache a while ago and everytime I runned easyapache without stopping the httpd, my server just crashed. (stopping it worked almost all the times, but that's a 20 minutes downtime)

    Now I got a 1.3 GHz Celeron with 256 KBs cache... nothing much better, but 4 times bigger cache. Do you think I can compile it without needing to stop the httpd?
    I already had a 4 hours downtime in the CPU change, so I don't want to have nor one more minute for a good time...

    Anyone has a similar (or equal) processor and can share experience?
