I am attempting to upgrade my php version from 5.2.1 to 5.2.5 using easyapache. I thought this would be pretty trivial (load the previous config, check all settings, then save and build).

Well, the WHM output just shows:
    Code:
    +--------------------------------------------------------+
    | You now have successfully built and installed the |
    | Apache 1.3 HTTP server. To verify that Apache actually |
    | works correctly you now should first check the |
    | (initially created or preserved) configuration files |....
It hasn't advanced at all for about an hour and in the console the ps output only shows:

    Code:
    root 5509 13.0 5.4 55712 52736 ? Ds 20:26 1:49 [bg installer] /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/easyapache.pl
I don't see any compiling or making or anything else running other than this bg installer. Is this normal to not be able to see anything running by the bg installer?

Furthermore, the main site hosted on the machine is down...

    Any ideas?

    Version:

    WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.18.3-S21703
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.6 i686 on standard - WHM X v3.1.0

I will continue to let it run.. maybe just slow I hope...

Easyapache commonly doesn't takes more than 40~50 to finish.

Try running easyapache from the shell with:

    /scripts/easyapache

This way you can watch what is going on.

    Regards

I guess I was just impatient. It eventually finished (nearly 2 hours). Not sure why it took so long. It also replaced my index.html file for the main site in /usr/local/apache/htdocs with the cPanel default one... strange...
