while running easyapache to upgrade php to 5.3.x I am getting the following error.

    /bin/sh ./libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -pedantic -W -Wformat -Wunused -Wimplicit -Wreturn-type -Wswitch -Wcomment -Wtrigraphs -Wformat -Wchar-subscripts -Wuninitialized -Wparentheses -Wshadow -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align -Wwrite-strings -Waggregate-return -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs -Winline -Wredundant-decls -o xmllint xmllint.o ./ -lz -lm
    libtool: link: gcc -g -O2 -pedantic -W -Wformat -Wunused -Wimplicit -Wreturn-type -Wswitch -Wcomment -Wtrigraphs -Wformat -Wchar-subscripts -Wuninitialized -Wparentheses -Wshadow -Wpointer-arith -Wcast-align -Wwrite-strings -Waggregate-return -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs -Winline -Wredundant-decls -o .libs/xmllint xmllint.o ./.libs/ -ldl -lz -lm -Wl,-rpath -Wl,/usr/local/libxml2/lib

    make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/libxml2-2.7.8'
    make: *** [all] Error 2

I have also tried to manually compile libxml2-2.7.8. But same error. OS is CentOS 4.9.

Any idea why this is happening?
