Is it possible to compile apache on cpanel with custom flags?

I need to compile php with ldap support but can't see the LDAP option on easyapache. What is best way to compile a configuration.tmpl on cpanel, ideally using a cpanel script.

Or if it is possible can I set my own flags for a build of apache in cpanel?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

If anyone wants to do this you can compile apache with all the flags you require from easyapache then edit the buildscript in /home/cpapachebuild/buildapache

you will see at the end there is a configure script for php which you can edit to your requirements.
