easyapache

Hello,

I'm probably in a little over my head here, but any help will be greatly appreciated.

I recently installed whm on a new server, then immediately ran /scripts/easyapache

I became aware today that .php pages are not parsing. When a php page is clicked on, the source code wants to download to the browser.

Thinking that rebuilding apache would help, I ran /scripts/easyapache again, and saw the following errors:

Configuring extensions
checking if the location of ZLIB install directory is defined... no
checking for ZLIB support... yes
configure: error: Cannot find libz
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.

I tried reinstalling ZLIB from within WHM, and also turning off suexec, but still can't parse PHP Pages.

Can anyone help?

is this a server install of redhat? also try reinstall/installing zlib-devel

then run /scripts/easyapache again.
