Does anyone know how to compile php from commandline with the new easyapache?? I had it working before the update to EA3. I went in to see what features there were and the damn thing started building.

Now I have 4 sites that make use of XSL that are down. I was uber excited when I saw the XSL option and when I saw it update XSLT

    -- Begin opt 'XSL' --
-- Begin dryrun test 'Install libxml2 for PHP 5' --
-- End dryrun test 'Install libxml2 for PHP 5' --
-- Begin dryrun test 'Find libxslt path for PHP 5' --
!! Installing or updating 'xslt', this will take a while and shouldn't have to be done again until a new version is released by the vendor. !!

but then I saw the configure line

-- Begin step 'configuring php for apache' --
    !!
    ./configure
    --enable-bcmath
    --enable-calendar
    --enable-discard-path
    --enable-exif
    --enable-ftp
    --enable-gd-native-ttf
    --enable-libxml
    --enable-magic-quotes
    --enable-mbstring
    --enable-soap
    --enable-sockets
    --enable-wddx
    --prefix=/usr/local
    --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs
    --with-curl=/opt/curl/
    --with-freetype-dir=/usr
    --with-gd
    --with-gettext
    --with-imap=/opt/php_with_imap_client/
    --with-imap-ssl=/usr
    --with-jpeg-dir=/usr
    --with-kerberos
    --with-libxml-dir=/opt/xml2
    --with-libxml-dir=/opt/xml2/
    --with-mcrypt=/opt/libmcrypt/
    --with-mysql=/usr
    --with-mysql-sock=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
    --with-png-dir=/usr
    --with-pspell
    --with-ttf
    --with-xpm-dir=/usr/X11R6
    --with-zlib
    --with-zlib-dir=/usr
    !!
    creating cache ./config.cache

It doesnt add it???? What do I do now???

    Thx for any pointers

    Eric

Look through your build log again. If problems were encountered installing XSLT, then it won't add the necessary flag to the PHP configure command.

Which version of PHP were you attempting?

    Php 5.2.4

PHP 5.2.4 was what I was trying to build but it doesnt add it to a 5.2.3 build either. Thats weird because I had it working under PHP 5.2.3 and Easy Apache 2. Using the commandline build to add the "--with-XSL" option to the php configure??

To me that shows XSLT was working fine on my server?? It wasnt till I accidentally hit the build button instead of the Continue Configuration Button.

On a side note that is a really scary layout I would put the continue config buttun above the build button. I bet 90% of the people went in there and inadvertantly rebuilt apache without really wanting too. It was too big of a step from the previous layout.

    more info

    Done Kenneth thx!!

I also tried to compile and install libxslt-1.1.19 and recieved this during configure:

"checking for libxml libraries >= 2.6.27... configure: error: Version 2.6.22 found. You need at least libxml2 2.6.27 for this version of libxslt"

Oh Well ticket open hopefully they beat the time it takes my 4 customers that depend on XSLT to cancel LOL

    Thx,
    Eric
