has anyone tried to update using upcp from 9.0 e62 to a new release say 9.1 e8?
We have tried on 6 servers without any luck.

The date from the changelog says:
    Tue Mar 9 11:07:02 EST 2004
could that be the problem since it's in the future?

You cannot update past 62 as the others are all beta's -- presumably not ready for production Servers.

I don't doubt you, but this looks confusing to say the least:

    Tue Mar 9 11:07:02 EST 2004
    9.1.0-CURRENT_5

lol no doubt! $5 the next EDGE release breaks something hehe!
I just thought someone might have screwed up and set the date wrong on a machine. I did that on a production server.... wasn't pretty but boy it sure was interesting when I set it back! :D

When I first started this thread the change log showed already up to Edge8 after I wrote a trouble ticket and tried to convince them it would not update they removed Edge 8 from the changelog and added the Currrent wording.
So it must not have been ready yet.

Saw the changelog and tried to update current on a test server - didn't work because http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanelsync/CURRENT/cpanel/version still lists 9.0.0-CURRENT_43

So the changelog is still incorrect - there is no current publicly available, as it lists 9.0.0-CURRENT_43 as the most up to date version.

    FWIW.

    OMG, 10 days w/o i386 updates o_O

Anyway, this explains it's not a bug.

I just noticed in the Changelog that:

    Wed Mar 10 16:21:36 EST 2004
    9.1.0-RELEASE_8

is out but it wont let me update to it from 9.0.0-RELEASE_44

and then i realised that this new version is for Linux x86-64

be nice if a new R can come out soon to address a few issues fixed in the betas
