Edit or rename a package name

WHM > Edit Packages

Lots to change here, except the package name itself.

Any other way(s) to achieve this? Of course I could:
1. Add a new (correctly named) package with the same characteristics as the pacakage with the wrong name
2. Move accounts onto the correctly named package
3. Delete the incorrectly name package

... but a simple edit/rename of the text would be so much easier...

Any takers?

I believe that you can simply rename the package file name in /var/cpanel/packages/ to do this.

After renaming the packages using chirpy's method you will have to give your clients the renamed packages. WHM don't automagically do this for you.
Just go to List Accounts where you can do this fairly easily.

Thanks. I just did this, but I noticed in 'List Accounts' (after a browser refresh) that the relevant accounts were still displaying as being associated with the old name. So I just changed the package for these accounts.

Thanks for your help - of course it will still be better if renaming a package name took care of all of this...
