There are any way to edit packages without modify active accounts with the new values?

It is safe to manually edit the files located in /var/cpanel/packages ?

The best way to modify a package is to go to WHM>>Packages >>Edit a Package The other way that's supported is by using the whmapi1 function - editpkg this can be found here: WHM API 1 Functions - editpkg - Developer Documentation - cPanel Documentation
