I have rented a server with cPanel on it, now I provide webhosting in Belgium as a company. Certain clients mailed me with the question: can you enable FXP transfers.

I tried editing the file in etc/pure-ftpd.conf with PuTTy, by connecting with SSH, and then using the command: pico /etc/pure-ftpd.conf

Success, the file was opened in a text editor. But the problem showed when i tried to save the file. It said access denied. No write permissions, but i don't understand how. I have root access with my WebHost Manager account, and I don't see any other way to do this.

I hope you can help me.

    Friendly Greeting,
    Joey Ceunen

    Hi Joey,

Could you please tell me the file system on the server?. I hope this file system is vzfs. Due to that reason you got this error.
Did you check the chattr of the file?. If no run lsattr of the file. May be it will help to find out the problem?
