    Hi!

I would like to redirect the http://webmail.domain.com automatically to https://webmail.domain.com:2096
One of my clients does not like the extra click he has to make and he always forgets to write it with https (understandable, because it is easy to just write webmail.domain.com in the browser).

Any elegant way to accomplish this?

I know I can disable the need to use SSL and that would help, but that is not my aim.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

If you change to the following WHM > Tweak Settings:

    Always redirect to SSL [?]
Always redirect users to the SSL/TLS ports when visiting /cpanel, /webmail, etc.
    Set to "On"

    SSL redirect destination [?]
When visiting /cpanel or /whm or /webmail with SSL, you can choose to redirect to:
    Set to "Origin Domain Name"

    Require SSL [?]
Require SSL for all remote logins to cPanel, WHM, and Webmail. Recommended.
    Set to "On"

Then you should not have any prompt and should have it automatically redirect to SSL. It works for my two domains on my same machine:

    http://endar.org/webmail
    http://daniellewallace.com/webmail

Goes to the https version automatically with a certificate warning.

If this is one user who is unhappy with using http://domain.com/webmail and having it work the way hoped, is there a reason that user cannot use a bookmark on their bookmark toolbar to the https url and then click the icon instead of typing it in?

I do not know of a solution for the proxy subdomains, although it does sound like a valid feature request.

    Hi Tristan!

You are absolutely right, but it's still something that would be nice to trigger. I will write it as a feature request. I have found a way to modify proxy settings, but that will be hard to keep intact in the future, so I won't be doing that.

    Thanks for you help!!!
