when setting up email account on thunderbird, it can automatically set correct port for IMAP and SMTP using STARTTLS, problem is that it sets the mail server using the domain's mail.domain.com subdomain. is there a way to set so thunderbird will set the server's hostname (which i have valid SSL certificate) instead of using mail.domain.com?

also the username for SMTP authentication is not using full email address, only the name part ('user' instead of 'user@domain.com'

where can i find on how to set the template for auto config?

    thank you

i already set it on my server, but the problem is there.. hence i asked here on this forum.
