email account without username ... please help

Fellows,

Something really crazy is happening with one of the email accounts in one of our customers.

Basically it was created an email account without username, it means, cPanel shows the list of email accounts and there is been showed an account like:

@domain.com

it means ... it doesn´t show any username!!.

When we try to delete the account with cPanel it says that such email account doesn´t exist and doesn´t delete it but it continues been showed in the email accounts list !!!.

We have been reviewing the /home/user/mail directory but can´t find anything related to such account. Also we used WHM > Email > Repair Mailbox permissions and it didn´t fix it.

How could we fix it???

Try moving the yaml and cache files

Try logging out of cPanel, and then moving the files email_accounts.cache and email_accounts.yaml from the .cpanel directory in the account's home directory. Move them to /root or some other destination, just to get them out of the way. Then log into cPanel again. The two files you moved will be automatically regenerated, and the erroneous entry should be gone.

If this does not correct the problem, we would be happy to investigate directly if you submit a ticket.
