Hi,

I have a really weird problem, I created an account on my VPS server and created some emails on that account. e.g. [email protected]

I can browse domain.com/webmail and login, but no one else is able to login, the webmail error return "Invalid login".

I contacted the hosting provider, they too couldn't login, and as usual they do not have better response than "Create a new password, its a password issue".

I tried to clear CPHulk protection and turn it off, I tried to white list some IPs, I tried to clear the cached file from my browser.

Any other ideas here please ? thanks

Hi Micheal,

They have multiple email accounts, [email protected] and some [email protected]

They can login to [email protected] successfully, and I can see it scroll the mail log output.
But they cannot login to any other email accounts and nothing appear in the log.

I asked her to try another ISP, another computer, also we tried to clear the browsers cache.
This problem also happened to the support representative of my VPS provider. But he ignored me.

Thanks.

Is it possible the accounts are locked by cPHulk brute force protection mechanisms? You can utilize the "History Reports" section in "WHM Home >> Security Center >> cPHulk Brute Force Protection" to verify if that's the case.

Thank you.

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Thank you.

To update, it appears the user was entering the wrong password during the authentication process. The password was reset, and authentication now succeeds.

Thank you.
