Hi Folks,

We're using CENTOS 6.10 kvm [cloud] v86.0.30.

We receive an email alert: "The backup process failed."

I can see in WHM:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use%
/dev/vda1 296G 212G 69G 76%

Where do I go to see the backup error log?

If I search the WHM navigation for "log", no obvious nav item is returned.

Help appreciated.
Steve

Backups logs are usually stored at /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup/ directory, search there for the most recent log. You need root access for this of course, you can access the directory using the Terminal tool in WHM or accessing the server through SSH.

Hello,

Backups logs are usually stored at /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup/ directory, search there for the most recent log. You need root access for this of course, you can access the directory using the Terminal tool in WHM or accessing the server through SSH.
This is correct. Backup logs are stored in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup/ and Backup transport logs are stored in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup_transporter/. To view these logs you must connect to the server via SSH as root or use the Terminal feature in WHM.
