Hey I recently transferred my websites e-mails from cpanel to google apps. Everything went well but I was unable to transfer over the old e-mails for certain accounts. However before the transfer I made a cpanel backup (backup-1.4.2012_16-41-48_gw.tar) I have extracted all the files and the homedir.tar as well. Now all I need is to know where the emails are stored and how I can view them as plain text. Thanks for the help.

The emails are stored in the homedir.tar file mail folder. In that mail folder, you'll have a folder for each domain name, and an emailuser folder for each individual email account.
