I am in the process of setting up a number of email accounts and below is what I want to do is

I need email backup for all emails arising from these accounts so I have access to all correspondence at a later point if required.

Whats the best way for me to achieve this?

thanks

Hello,

You cannot back up emails being sent from the accounts, since those aren't retained on the server when they are successfully sent. You can make a backup of emails that are received and aren't being downloaded immediately.

If you only have cPanel level access, the backups would be of /home/username/mail folder contents and could be a cron you run daily to back up the folder. Otherwise, you could create a script to FTP the folder somewhere.

If you have root level access to the machine, you could actually create a blind carbon copy to get all emails sent to another account:

Thanks!
