Hello,
I recently purchased a VPSserver in Vultr and opted for the cPanel admin panel. The server is already configured and I'm starting to migrate my sites to this new server. However I am having problems with email deliveries.
Yesterday I received a message from cPanel stating the following:
Good news, AutoSSL has successfully renewed the Validated Domain (DV) certificate for "example.com.br". This does not require any further action by you.
Then I thought that SPF and DKIM had already been successfully installed, however the error remains.
Through cPanel I created an email account [email protected] and according to some tests I did sending to Gmail and Outlook, the emails sent by the server are going to the spam box.
So I sent an email to the service "[email protected]25.com" and it returned with a detailed analysis of errors that are occurring in the SPF and DKIM records, which is probably causing the message delivery problem.
I have 3 panels where I can configure the DNS of my domain. The Vultr panel, the WHM panel, and the cPanel. In the WHM panel there are 15 records, in the Vultr panel there are 7 records and in the cPanel panel there is apparently only 1 MX record. Does cPanel consider WHM records or is necessary to enter this same records in the DNS Zone Editor in cPanel? And in the Vultr server panel, do I need to insert the same records as in WHM?
Here is a summary of the test in verifier.port25.com:
================
Summary of Results
================
SPF check: none
DKIM check: permerror
SpamAssassin check: ham
================
Details:
================
HELO hostname: cp.example.com.br
Source IP: xx.xx.xxx.xxx
mail-from: [email protected]
-------------------------------
SPF check details:
-------------------------------
Result: none (no v = spf1 record published)
Verified ID (s): [email protected]
DNS record (s):
Powered by Blogger. TXT (no records)
-------------------------------
DKIM check details:
-------------------------------
Result: permerror (not usable key records)
DNS record (s):
default._domainkey.example.com.br. 300 IN CNAME example.com.br.
DKIM Results
============
permerror: The message could not be verified due to some error that
is unrecoverable, such as a required header field being absent. A
later attempt is unlikely to produce a final result.
SPF Results
===========
none: Either (a) no syntactically valid DNS domain name was extracted from
the SMTP session that could be used as the one to be authorized, or
(b) no SPF records were retrieved from the DNS.
How I can fix it?
Thank you.
