External email delivery to all server accounts fails
On a dedicated server running Whm/Cpanel/linux
When I send an email from an external account (ISP email account) to the mailboxes on my server, it is not delivered. After a long delay I get back the following message at the sending account:
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
([email protected])
Technical details of permanent failure:
TEMP_FAILURE: Could not initiate SMTP conversation with any hosts:
[(myserver) (1): Connection timed out]
I can send mail internally on the server, and I can send mail from the server to outside addresses.
Can anyone suggest what I should do to figure out what is wrong and fix? I've done keyword googles on the error message, and searched this forum and not turned up anything that seemed to work.
Thanks
