Email disclaimer behaving strangely

I have been using this method on my server for over 3 years now with no issues.

Last month I started managing a new server with the exact same configuration, and wanted to apply the same method for disclaimers.
Strangely it does not behave as expected! All html emails are striped of their "html" and are sent in plain text.
Or sometimes the messages remain stuck in the queue with a transport filter error (force deliver sometimes works)

Has anyone encountered that or has any idea why this is happening?

Hello :)

It looks like the last stable version of the "altermime" application was released in 2008. You may need to find an alternative application that is updated to work with newer versions of Exim.

Thank you.

I have looked for a more "modern" alternative to altermime but it looks like it is the only option to add a disclaimer to outgoing mails in Exim.
If you have any suggestions I am more than happy to try:)

What puzzles me, is that both of the servers that I admin have the same Exim version and the same cPanel version (and Exim configuration). on my oldest one it works flawlessly, and on the newer it is just a "gray hair and head scratch" maker
