    Hello

One of our clients is using a mailing list software to send out mail to his users. All the emails send out fine, except to people with earthlink.com email addresses. He says that if he uses webmail it goes out, but it does not if he is using pop3/software to send. The returned email error is below. Any help is appreciated.

Your domain isn't allowed to send to that server, you might be blacklisted. You can check at www.dnsstuff.com.

    Thanks

It was a good suggestion, but it does not seem like our IP is blocked.

Is it possible that something is misconfigured on our mailserver that only the Earthlink server would block us, but that other servers can accept our emails?

    thanks

    Roy

Well... unless something has changed in the past 9 months, earthlink does not give out earthlink.COM addresses. Their members get earthlink.NET addresses.

Also, their abuse department monitors bulk email like a hawk. They have automatic filters to dump what may be picked up as spam. They will also hold and manually review mail to see if it's spam if they see a large amount coming into their servers from one source.

They also check for open relay before they will accept ANY mail.

My guess though, is that a filter is thinking it's spam and rejecting it.
