    Hello ALL,

    E-mail filters in Cpanel do not "delete" once created. Site says it deletes it when you click on delete but it still shows up on the list.

    Please help me with this :(

    Thank you,

    Tushar

    You can edit your email blockers in a file through ftp. Log into your account (/home/useraccount) and look for the file called ".filter" . You open that file in a text editor. You can delete any filter in there, but make sure that there are no line gaps. Each filter should be on one line. They should look like:
    $message_headers contains "yourinfo.us"+++++++/dev/null

    You can also change "/dev/null" to an email address, if you choose.

    Right, but this still needs to be fixed by DarkOrb. My clients have also pointed out this glitch. Many of my clients do not even know what a text editor is, much less how to edit a file in their root directory just to delete a spam filter that should be deleted in the Cpanel interface.

    The new "x" skin already contemplates this alteration.

    Email Filter problem

    I've followed the suggestions I've found throughout this forum, but still cannot block email sent to a specific email address:

    Here is the filter:
    $header_to is "julie%40mysite.com"+++++++/dev/null

    Can you tell me if it needs modifications?

    I'm on Cpanel Version/Build 7.4.2-RELEASE Build 158

    Thanks:(

    Re: Email Filter problem

    Instead of having "header_to is", change it to "header_to contains". That has worked for me. I think you should talk with your host anyway.

    Hello Tushar,

    If this is not resolved as yet (Which shouldn't be the case).

    It seems that the account is using 'Vertex' Skin ? If yes then it has a bug which does not allows you to delete the filters. The solution to this problem is to change the Skin for the account and see it works like a charm.

    Hope this helps !
