email forwarder and same email account issues

Hello,

Here is an issue. We have an email forwarder and stand alone email account with same name , let us say [email protected] . Both are same . So some times emails forward and some time it will deliver to local inbox. Why it is happening Any idea.

Let's do some troubleshooting...

When it works correctly, it should end up on both places... the actual account and the forwarded account. Given that:

A) is the forwarded account on the same server or is it remote? (yahoo, gmail, etc.)

B) when the problem occurs is it missing from the forwarded account, the actual account, or both?

C) When a message goes missing, did it originate on the same server, remote server or both?

D) Is it consistent enough that you can watch the mail logs to see whats happening?
