Email forwarders and suspended accounts...

    Can someone please tell me if email forwarders remain working after an account has been suspended? I know that they will still continue to receive email so does the server still forward messages on too?

    yes, I *think* forwards continue to work. At least, I know they used to.

    When suspending an account, I take a couple of extra steps and update their forwards manually.
    Also, for those with a different MX record, I edit their DNS and remove the mx pointing.

    Usually, people don't know their website is down, but they quickly know when their email is not working.

    It would be nice to have an option when suspending an account to also suspend all mail services (mx record, forwards)

    Oh... reminder. If messing with the forwards files, or the mx records, of course you want to backup the files before editing. This way, when you unsuspend, you just replace the files from backup.
