Hi I wonder is some one could guide me in the right direction

We have a client that wants to have their email from domain1.com sent through to domain2.com through dns

What dns entries should i add to domain2.com for them to replace their current entry mail.domain1.com

    Hope this make sense

    Quote their email to me

"we just need to know DNS entries you want us to make against the domain name (domain1.com) in place of the current entry (mail.domain1.com)."

So you would like the MX record to be mail.domain2.com instead of mail.domain1.com you mean? As well as setting mail.domain1.com entry to be the IP of the other domain or the CNAME of the other domain (mail.domain2.com)?

In the DNS zone, simply revise the DNS entries, although unless the other domain allows relaying, this is going to fail to work.
