    Hello 2 you all,

I have a client wich has a hosting account to another provider and want's to host all the email to our servers.

In this case if i understant very well:

    1. It has to modify the DNS records as that

    Current: domain.com. > IN > MX > domain.com. To: domain.com. > IN > MX > mail.domain.com.

    and also

    Current: mail > IN > CNAME > domain.com. To: mail > IN > A > MyServerIPAddress

Am i right till here ? (It takes up to 48 hours to propagation ?)

    2. How can i create the email hosting account on my servers ?

I should make as an normal account using the domain name "domain.com" or should i do it using "mail.domain.com" ?

I have to create them an account because for me it's a client, right ?

Thanks and i'll wait an answer!

Just have them add your server hostname as the MX record at their other host with priority of 10. Once that is done, inform them to set their domain at the other host to "Remote" and that should do it. 4 - 8 hours for propagation of course.

For the question on the account creation, you could select x3mail in the WHM > Account Functions > Create a New Account's Settings "cPanel Theme" dropdown. Choosing x3mail will provide a limited set of account options for an email only account like you are wanting to have.
