Email is not working for domain moved to other hosting

  • I have purchased a domain (abc.com) with Hosting company named "company 1"
  • I have purchased multi-domain hosting with another company named 'company 2'
  • I pointed nameserver of a domain to "company 2"
  • My domain & emails are set up on this server.
  • I created lots of sub-domain on company 2 and using it smoothly.
  • I plan to move my main domain to another hosted company
  • I opened DNS editor for my domain in Company 2, updated A record for a domain (abc.com) and CNAME record to the new hosted company
  • But now email is stopped, so I changed MX record settings
    • added new MX record to mail.abc.com
    • added Cname mail.abc.com record to abc.com.md-25.webhostbox.net
I am not sure whether I added it correctly or not.

I am receiving few emails, but I am not receiving an email from Gmail.

Hello,

Those steps look correct. How long ago did you make the change? It's possible the delay in receiving the emails from Gmail relates to DNS propagation.
