Email not being stopped/rejected as expected

I have 2 pop email accounts. One of the accounts I have Boxtrapper enabled and for the most part it stops email that it is suppose to. Lately I am getting email for this account that should have been trapped but somehow has gotten through. I have checked the Whilelist and the email addresses are not in there so I do not know how it got past Boxtrapper and would like your help.

The other pop account does not have BoxTrapper enabled but I have many filters which should be rejecting emails but it does not seem to work in many instances. I have as my supplier and have asked them and they keep coming back with "the filter do not always work". I really don't understand that explanation, it seems that if it works once it should work essentially all the time. Note that never said that the filter was not setup properly.

Any help would be appreciated.

This type of issue is better investigated by your web hosting provider. They will have access to /var/log/exim_mainlog and /var/log/exim_rejectlog so they can determine the specific reason boxtrapper or a filter failed to work. Feel free to inform them to open a support ticket with us if they are not able to find the specific cause of the problem.
