    Hello, I have bought 2 VPS. I use one for email and DNS, and another one for hosting. I have cPanel on both servers. Problem I have is with mail sent from "Hosting server". It is not delivered. (I host Joomla web site and it sends system mails).

    Here are my settings for "Hosting server"
    • DNS turned off
    • MX set to "Mail and DNS server" IP address
    • Email routing set to Remote Mail Exchanger

    I have checked Mail Queue Manager and all messages have Frozen status. I have tried to Unfreeze one, and Deliver it. I get this mesage:
    Code:
    LOG: MAIN
      cwd=/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot 4 args: /usr/sbin/exim -v -M 1SzP9h-0005hm-6R
    delivering 1SzP9h-0005hm-6R

    I guess that my "Email and DNS server" does not allow my "Hosting server" to use it for mail delivery. What should I do to make this work? I have pretty basic knowledge of Linux :eek:

    Thanks

    Howdy,

    It looks like the hostname is bad here.
    Use WHM to change it via Main >> Networking Setup >> Change Hostname to a FQDN. It would also help to have A records and a PTR record for the host to avoid the messages from getting marked as spam.

    If you trust this server you might consider whitelisting the server in Exim.

    Thanks!
