Hi all,

I am using the latest in all software on centos 7 with cpanel 78.

I have noticed if a client sends an email with 100-200 recipients then this gets stuck in the mail queue if there is 1 recipient issue like the email don't exist or their server is unreachable.

If there a way round this to send to everyone else except the "faulty" email address's?

Would updating to cpanel 80 resolve this?

Thanks
Mark

ahh so the list of emails are still there as its part of the original email?

So if i manually push the "stuck email" and let it complete with the errors and then delete afterwards id be ok?

Or is there a way to remove the faulty email address's so it clears the queue on a manual push?

It would have already been delivered to the valid email addresses. Retries only go to the emails that have not gotten it yet.
This fact that @GOT points out would be further evidenced by looking in the exim logs as well.

You'd drive yourself crazy trying to edit emails that get stuck this way. They will be purged from the queue in typically five days on their own.
This as well as the fact that deliverable mail even with mail in queue spends a minimal amount of time in queue so technically email awaiting retry should not be affecting newly submitted mail.

New mail goes in and out as normal but for example there is an email with 200 recipients and 3 of the emails address's don't work then this email with the list of all email address's is in the mail queue.

The next time one appears then i will share a screen shot (minus the full email address's) as this is normally around 9 every 2/3 weeks

There's really no need, we understand the situation. We are saying this is normal. In your example, the 197 good emails go out right away and retries are only retrying the three that were failing. This will go on for about 5 days and then the message will be dropped from the queue and an NDR sent to the sender.
