    okay, forgive me for posting in the wrong place.

    the error i'm getting is when i try to use my mail program (mail - mac)
    the error is that supposedly the password i entered is not the correct password when i know that it is.
    i have a vps, and it seems that any mail account that comes from the vps doesn't work at all.
    you can access the mail via webmail though..

    does anyone have any suggestions?

    you should look for these on your vps

    /etc/xinetd.d/popa3d
    /etc/xinetd.d/popa3ds
    and set them both to disable yes

    service xinetd restart
    service cpanel restart

    tried that.
    still no luck.

    on one of the two accounts i'm getting this error:
    The server error encountered was: The POP server "mail.zachmcnair.com" doesn't support CRAM-MD5 authentication. Please check your account settings and try again.

    both still want my password.
    on the cram-md5 error, i checked the settings in mail, and changed the authentication back to password, but it still gives me the cram-md5 error.

    I would fix your DNS problems first

    ns1 & ns2 are on the same ip

    you main server ip has no reverse ptr
