okay, forgive me for posting in the wrong place.

the error i'm getting is when i try to use my mail program (mail - mac)
the error is that supposedly the password i entered is not the correct password when i know that it is.
i have a vps, and it seems that any mail account that comes from the vps doesn't work at all.
you can access the mail via webmail though..

    does anyone have any suggestions?

    thanks
    z

you should look for these on your vps

    /etc/xinetd.d/popa3d
    /etc/xinetd.d/popa3ds
and set them both to disable yes

    service xinetd restart
    service cpanel restart

    tried that.
    still no luck.

on one of the two accounts i'm getting this error:
The server error encountered was: The POP server "mail.zachmcnair.com" doesn't support CRAM-MD5 authentication. Please check your account settings and try again.

    both still want my password.
on the cram-md5 error, i checked the settings in mail, and changed the authentication back to password, but it still gives me the cram-md5 error.
