When creating an email account for the domain example.com, an email is sent to the new account with configuration settings.
In that email it uses the server hostname as both the incoming and outgoing servers.
However in cpanel itself, if you look at email > email account > connect devices, it shows mail.example.com which is what I want. To use the hostname risks client emails being broken if the hostname changes for any reason.
Where to I change a setting so that the email uses mail.example.com instead of hostname?
For bonus points. The configuration email is sent from cPanel on example.com using the email address [email protected], I would like that to come from support@myhosting. Is this configurable too?
