Out of nowhere, last night emails from domains on our server aren't being sent to any address anymore. The exim log states for each entry

H=(<ip>) [<ip>] F=<an@emailaddr.ess> rejected RCPT <an@emailaddr.ess>: ([<ip>]) [<ip>] is currently not permitted to relay through this server. Perhaps you have not logged into the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP Authentication turned on in your email client

Can anyone please shed some light on this and how to fix it? Ive spent the last 2 hours googling and researching and trying lots of things but to no avail.

    Many thanks

We've noticed this also. Since the 11.30 cPanel update, the handling of SMTP authentication seems to have become more strict in Exim.

Have your users make sure that "Outgoing Server requires Authentication" is enabled in their mail client, and that it is set to use the same authentication as incoming mail, and this will fix the problem.
