I am currently using cpanel, and my clients wish to send and recieve emails that are in Japanese. Has anyone setup cpanel (or any linux server) to be able to handle Japanese emails? I'm not exactly sure how to go about this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    thanks!

If you'll recompile php with mb_string then horde and squirrelmail will work.

I'm not too familiar with php, but in checking the phpinfo, i came up with this.

    Configure Command './configure' '--prefix=/usr' '--with-xml' '--enable-bcmath' '--enable-calendar' '--with-curl' '--enable-ftp' '--with-gd' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local' '--with-png-dir=/usr' '--with-xpm-dir=/usr/X11R6' '--with-gettext' '--with-imap' '--with-imap-ssl' '--with-kerberos' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-mbstr-enc-trans' '--enable-mbregex' '--enable-magic-quotes' '--with-mysql' '--with-openssl' '--with-pear' '--enable-sockets' '--enable-track-vars' '--enable-versioning' '--with-zlib'

i do see " --enable-mbstring' " in there. So i take that japanese will be functional in horde?

    Thanks alot for your help!

Yep. Should be. Squirrelmail is better, though, for Japanese.
