I've noticed a server isn't catching unrouted mail.

Example:
Emails to [email protected] should be delivered to [email protected]

However it just bounces with:
The mail server could not deliver mail to [email protected]. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries.

The Default Address in cPanel is set as "Forward to your system account “account”" at present.

Which setting needs changing to ensure all mail to accounts that don't exist are forwarded to the default mail accounts for each cPanel user without having to set the forward address in Default Address?

Hello @Arkaic,

Can you browse to cPanel >> Email Routing and confirm how mail is routed for this domain? Also, can you confirm the DNS zone for this domain exists?

Thank you.

Hey,

Local Mail Exchanger and the DNS zone does indeed exist and is using the default zone template.

WHM -> Tweak Settings still has:
Initial default/catch-all forwarder destination [?] set to System Account too.

Hello @Arkaic,

Could you open a support ticket so we can take a closer look to see what's happening? You can post the ticket number here and we'll link this thread to it.

Thank you.
