Hello All
I have a strange problem.
I have server A and server B (both on cpanel)

If I send email from server B to server A, from field is changed to something like [email protected]

It only happens if I send emails from B to A
If I send from B to any other server, from stays as it should..
If I send from A to B it is fine as well

I have this problem for every domain on server B or better to say I have this problem only between these 2 servers, when I send things from server B to A / it does not matter which domain or which account.
Also I must note that I tested this from email client, webmail or anything else.. it is always the same thing always the same email address changed to ..

Anybody had this issue ever?

Started happening since two cpanel updates ago, 66.some version
Before it was fine.. anything else was not changed on server side..

So question is what can cause this ? I assume problem is on server A and not on server B / or maybe I am mistaken

Hello,

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can access the affected system to see what's happening?

Thank you.

I managed to find what the issue was..
The experimental option (that did not behaved like this in early stage) seemed to cause this issue
EXPERIMENTAL: Rewrite From: header to match actual sender / if this is on it can create problems.. strange is that this happen on one server and not on another

Hello,

It's possible this relates to the changes implemented in the following case:

Fixed case CPANEL-16082: Avoid logging the sender identification when not assoicated with a user.

Can you verify which version of cPanel is installed on each system? EX:

Code:
cat /usr/local/cpanel/version

Thank you.
