Customers are complaining that it takes a lot of time before they're receiving emails send by my server (using PHP mail). It used to work fine, but now it seems that it often takes hours. I did not modify the CPanel configuration, but I'm unaware if any recent (last 2 months?) automatic update may have done so.

I tried to send a mail myself and got it right away, but after chatting with a client it seems that if doesn't always take such a long time (even though he suggested that sometimes he doesn't receive the email at all).

Not sure if this may help:

Any idea what can cause these delays?

    Hello,

Could you search for the MSGID (available in the message headers) for one of the delayed messages in /var/log/exim_mainlog to see what's happening on the initial delivery attempt? EX:

    Code:
    exigrep MSGID /var/log/exim_mainlog
    Thank you.
