Hello,

We are checking the email configuration and have a doubt, i see that from whm -> Exim Configuration Manager can enable the check for dkim and the posibility for recject in case to fail.

y other side from cpanel control panel (hosting account) i see the option for enable dkim also

My ask is, for really dkim is enable should be enable from both sides?, what happend if from whm is disable and from the user cpanel is enable, is dkim work or not?

thank you.

If you enable DKIM for cPanel accounts, all you're doing is adding the necessary zone records for that domain so that email sent FROM that domain is authenticated. This is for the benefit of the sender.

When you enable the setting in Exim, you're telling your mail server to start doing DKIM auth for *incoming* email, which can reduce spam on your server but also reject legitimate email. I personally wouldn't enable this setting.

Hello :)

Yes, as Vanessa mentioned, the option in cPanel is for enabling DKIM on your outgoing email. The option in your Exim Configuration Manager is to verify DKIM records on incoming email.

Thank you.
