First of all, I'm newbie. I never set up and managed VPS and cPanel before.

I'm using DO 1 GB droplet. Installed CentOS 6.5 x64 on it. I have one IP and would like to use one OpenCart based eCommerce site on the server. I haven't touched the recommended settings at the first cPanel configuration wizard.

    hostname: server1.domain.com

    nameserver 1: ns1.domain.com
    nameserver 2: ns2.domain.com

I have created a package with full resources and enabled dedicated IP. Created a user based on this package. Connected to user via FTP and uploaded the files in public_html. But when I try to connect via IP, I see IP/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi on address bar and error:

If you are the web site owner, it is possible you have reached this page because:

    The IP address has changed.
There has been a server misconfiguration.
The site may have been moved to a different server.
If you are the owner of this website and were not expecting to see this page, please contact your hosting provider.

All I want to display and test the page first. I will read lots of documents about security and optimizing, configure cPanel as far as in me lain. After that I will redirect the name servers. But I have to see the page :(

I couldnt find how to edit the message. But now I cannot connect the WHM and the user :( It says invalid password. Likewise cannot connect via SSH to VPS too. I have reset the root password on DO but still same. What's happening lol

    Hello :)

It's normal to see the default website page when browsing to a shared IP address. While the IP address is only assigned to a single account, it's still considered the main shared IP address. Have you considered manually editing the hosts file on your personal computer so you can browse directly to the domain name before DNS propagation occurs?

    Thank you.

Sites that use mod_rewrite and other directives in their .htaccess files will not work as expected when viewed through mod_userdir URLs. I suggest manually updating the hosts file on your personal computer so you can view the website directly over it's domain name:

hosts (file) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Thank you.

The problem has been solved. I forgot to add "~username" at the and of the url in the config files of the CMS. Now everything is perfect.
